The Channelview Fire Department will be accepting applications for the position of
Firefighter/Paramedic or Paramedic assigned to the EMS Division. Individuals interested in testing must submit a completed application with a valid e-mail address and supporting documentation to apply. Harris County Emergency Service District #50 (Channelview Fire Department) provides fire
and emergency medical services to over 38,000 residents in an unincorporated area of
eastern Harris County, Texas. Harris County Emergency Service District #50 encompasses
approximately 19 square miles that produces over 4,662 responses for emergency service
per year.
To obtain employment an applicant must meet the following criteria at the time the
application is submitted:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 Years of age
- TCFP Basic Firefighter certification and/or TDH Paramedic Certification
- Shift: 48/144 (2 days on 6 days off) – four shift rotation (A, B, C, D)
- Starting Salary - $49,489.44
- No Social Security Withheld
- Paid Time-Off (PTO)
